st paul events

It never fails to amaze me that there are so many different things to do. For example, in St Paul next weekend there is an event centered on sports and women. I know that people put these things on to make money, but I never imagined that an event like this would make it. I wonder where they get the ideas. I tried to find out more about it, but this was all that I could get http://www.stpaulcvb.org/events_detail.cfm?oid=150864.

By the way, if you are coming in from out of town to go to this, I would suggest that you check out this great hotel. http://www.hoari.com/wwlsp/index.html. It features truly distinctive decor, and is attached to a great restaurant. Ask to see the Capital Suite. It is very impressive.

spring break

It is spring break for a lot of Iowa schools this week, and the weather in Iowa has been fantastic. It was 75 degrees yesterday and it was a very welcome change from the snow we had just two short weeks ago. Everybody was out enjoying the weather and the many things that there are to do. Our hotels are offering many special packages for people wanting to get away with their family and do something. For something truly unusual, try the NCAA Paper, Rock, Scissors tournament http://www.seedesmoines.com/asp/visitors/detail_calendar.asp?id=12551 in Des Moines! And to find a hotel to stay in, visit http://www.hoari.com/destinations_dm_iowa.html. Who would have ever guessed that a child's game would become an NCAA event?

john wayne

If you are a John Wayne fan, there is an event coming up in May that will interest you. Just south of Des Moines, Iowa, is a little town named Winterset. Besides being home to the famed covered bridges made famous by the movie with Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep called The Bridges of Madison County, the town happens to be the birthplace of the man who became the iconic western actor, John Wayne. This year marks the 100th anniversary of his birth, and the town is going all out to celebrate the date. To find more information about this event, visit http://www.johnwaynebirthplace.org/ . Our hotel group has had a long relationship with the folks in Winterset, Iowa and we are the headquarter hotels for the event. To find out about booking rooms for this event, visit http://www.hoari.com/john_wayne.html. This is sure to be an exciting event. I hope to see you there.

hoa hotels

This is my favorite Heart of America Hotel. The Radisson Hotel Pewaukee, Wisconsin opened in 2001. Designed in the Prairie style of Frank Lloyd Wright, it features a stunning lobby with a granite bar, and the hotel offers a wide variety of suites. My favorite suite is the Prairie Suite. It offers a full kitchen with a granite bar, dining room, two sided fireplace, living room, a Master Bedroom with a 7 foot jacuzzi, and a second bedroom with full bath. And to top it off, the room has a 300 square foot balcony!

The hotel has over 3000 sq feet of meeting space, a large fitness center, and a huge two story atrium pool area with poolside rooms. And the hotel is perfect for the business traveller too, with boardroom suites and both wired and wireless high speed internet service.
The next time you find yourself in Milwaukee, be sure to visit this unique hotel. It is located at exit 294 on I-94 (the intersection of Highway J and I-94), just 15 minutes from lakefront Milwaukee. Or make a reservation now
